
This picture of Glenoe was taken in 1894. It’s interesting in the fact that it gives an example of not only the village itself but also the people who lived there.
Glen is situated halfway between Larne and Carrickfergus. Today has a population of just 87 people and is mostly know for it’s picturesque waterfall.
In what’s becoming a bit of a theme, much of the original scene can is unchanged. The road is obviously paved but the houses, particularly on the left, are still recognisable.
